Anyone have any good websites for homemade Christmas tree ornaments?
I’d like to make my own ornaments this year- both for presents and for my own tree. We just got a kitten and I just know he’s going to eat and/or destroy anything on our tree so I’d like some good sites for non-breakable ornaments. I’ve looked myself but there are so many sites out there and I’m not really finding any good ones. Thanks:)
My family and I makes a new christmas tree ornament each year.
Here is a fun one. What you will need. Puzzle pieces, green construction paper, scissors, glue, pen, (hole puncher optional), and red construction paper.
Take the puzzle pieces and lay them on the green construction paper. Outline the puzzle pieces. (make a lot of them). Cut them out. Start overlapping the ends of the cut out puzzle pieces and make it in shape of a circle. Once they are layed out the way you want them. Glue them together. Take the hole puncher (or scissors) and cut out little red dots out of the red construction paper. Glue a few on the green puzzle pieces. (these are little holly berries)
You now have a beautiful puzzle wreaths with holly berries. You can glue a photo behind it to make it look like a little picture frame if you wish. Just put a string through it and hang it on the tree! Easy as that. (we did these)
Another idea is:
Cut some bells out of construction paper (small bells). Get aluminum foil and wrap each bell in the aluminum foil. Staple or glue the ends of three bells and put a string or hook through the glued part and you have….. Silver bells!!!
My mom and I always cut a donut out of card board. We would then take colored yarn, either red or green, and wrap all the way around the cardboard until you can’t see the cardboard at all. You now have yarn wreaths!
You can always get some toothpicks and some styrophome balls and shave the balls down to where they are small (some stores carry small balls) Stick them on the toothpick and you have the body of a snowman… all you need is little beads and things to decorate the snowman to your preference!
Hope these helped
